Oil, graphite, charcoal, gouache, paper
My work references my relationship with my parents. My father was gay, my mother straight, they divorced in 1976. The letters I received from my father before his death are the subject of my current paintings and drawings. In this series, I explore visual forms of solace and confidence that the letters provided me, before and after his death.
